Ever notice some folding mirrors don’t seem to appreciably reduce the mirror’s profile? Seems like a lot these days.

Saw far more interesting French cars (and other marques) when I grew up and live in DC. Lots of diplomats. They can bring anything they want ...

Yep...my parents have a Q5 with huge mirrors. They fold about 20 degrees inward and upward. It’s a token gesture.
Naturally, it’s the first thing that broke on the car after the warranty ended.

Ugh. My MR2 has them. 28 years old and they work :)
For all I know they’ve been fixed a hundred times.
